Workshop Objectives

By the end of the workshop, learners will have the relevant knowledge and application skills in CPR and Bandaging to apply during an emergency or accident for felines or canines.

          1. Identify common medical conditions requiring first aid treatment.
          2. Manage a medical emergency related to felines and canines.
          3. Apply first aid to felines or canines in the community.
          4. Apply the use of CPR to unconscious felines or canines.


          Modules Description

          Module 1: Workshop Overview & Introduction

          Module 2: Common Medical Conditions

          Module 3: Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for Cats and Dogs

          Module 4: Written & Practical Assessment


          Assessment

          A1. Learners would need to fulfil 100% workshop attendance in order to be eligible for the assessments.

          A2. Assessment Outline:

          (i) Written Assessment (Up to 3 attempts to pass)

          - 20 Multiple Choice Questions (80% to pass, 16/20)

          (ii) Practical Assessment (Up to 3 attempts to pass)

          - Case Scenario including application of CPR and Bandaging
